Aishwarya not a part of Sarkar 3!

Recent rumors had it that Aishwarya rai would make a come back into film with Sarkar 3. However, the director of the film RGV, rubbished the news.

Rumor was that Ash will be seen in the film opposite her pa-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan. However, putting an end to the buzz the filmmaker confirmed on Twitter that Ash is not a part of the upcoming film.

“Sarkar 3 is being planned..Amitji nd Abhishek wil feature in it bt contrary 2 reprts Aishwarya won’t be..script is still under progress,” Ram Gopal Varma tweeted.

Abhishek Bachchan was bumped off in Sarkar Raj. So how is he going to make a come back in the third film of the franchise??? Also, Aishwarya Rai was seen getting deeper into the shady workings of Sarkar (Big B). How is it possible for her to be left out?

Bipasha’s first Hollywood film ‘Singularity’!

Take a look at Bipasha Basu in her first Hollywood flick Singularity. The film also stars Josh Hartnett in the lead. Other Indian and foreign actors are also a part of Singularity.

Set in the 18th century colonial India, the film is an epic love saga, directed by Roland Joffe. He is an English-French film director, famous for his Oscar nominated movies, The Killing Fields and The Mission.

The story of the film shows the love between an English officer, Josh Hartnett, and a Maratha warrior, Bipasha Basu.

Actor Abhay Deol also has a vital part in the film. However, he is not seen in the trailer.

'Student of the Year’ to release on October 19

Well, all those who are waiting for Karan Johar’s next directorial venture “Student of the Year” to release are in for a delight. The film is set to hit the big screens on October 19th this year.

The comedy stars newbies Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. Johar recently tweeted, “STUDENT OF THE YEAR will release on the 19th of OCTOBER 2012… it launches 3 newcomers… Sidharth Malhotra…. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.”

Kajol and Boman Irani are guest appearing. Boman Irani’s son, Kayoze is also making his acting debut with the film. The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar.

“Dirty Picture” Banned on TV

Sony channel had created much brouhaha about telecasting the controversial movie “Dirty picture”, based on the life of southern siren Silk Smitha. But, the Union Information and Broadcasting (I&B) ministry poured cold water on all the publicity by banning the channel from telecasting it yesterday.

Initially, the ministry had asked Sony to telecast the movie late at night, when most children would be asleep. Many parents had complained about the bold scenes and adult dialogue in the movie. Vidya Balan had won a national award for her portrayal of Silk Smitha in the movie. Let us wait and watch the fate of the “Dirty Picture” on the small screen.

Sonu Sood will play the villain in the Hindi version. He was a devil in the Telugu version as well. The Hindi remake rights of the film has been acquired by Gemini Film Circuit.

Anurag Basu’s woes continue over Barfi!!

Anurag Basu’s Barfi, delayed yet again. First, Ranbir sited date issues and now, its the film’s lead lady, Priyanka Chopra who is unable to give dates for the film.

The film’s release has been delayed twice already and now, once again, it may be delayed further – reason being Priyanka Chopra.

Says a source close to the film, “Only Priyanka’s portion remains to be shot, the film is complete. The producers have already postponed the release from July 13 to August 31 to give Peecee to devote a couple of days. But she’s already started on Zanjeer.”

If buzz is to be believed, Ranbir Kapoor, frustrated with the delay time and again, has personally asked Priyanka to block two days in her calendar, for Barfi.

Basu on the other hand supporting Priyanka says, “Our schedules went haywire and all the actors had to re-adjust their dates. Priyanka tried her best to accommodate us. I’m sure she will manage to give us the two crucial days.”

Meanwhile, the dubbing of Basu’s other leading lady Ileana’s is being worked upon.
Says he, “Ranbir has no dubbing to do since he plays a deaf and mute character. I’m happy to say Ileana’s Hindi has improved and she can confidently dub her own lines. Not bad for a girl who couldn’t speak the language when she started.”

Katrina Kaif in her fairy tale world!

Katrina Kaif is the ambassador of chocolate brand Choc On. The actress will don three different looks in the ad campaign – fairytale girl, Cinderella and Red Riding Hood.

Like most girls, Katrina too loves to gorge on chocolates. “Everyone loves chocolate and I am no exception. I am happy to endorse a chocolate brand,” Katrina said in a press statement.

The commercial is a combination of reality and fantasy world, where Kats goes into her fairytale land, bringing ‘Choc On’ chocolate and giving it to another angelic character.

Ricky Singh has produced the campaign under his banner Passion Films.
“The idea is to engulf the viewer into the ultimate temptation for chocolate. With Katrina as the brand ambassador, the thought is to showcase the magic of Choc On to make dreams meet reality,” he said.

It is heard that the multimedia campaign is estimated to be worth Rs.20 crore.

Deepika-Ranbir will not get cosy!

Director Ayan Mukerji is planning to avoid any kind of intimate scenes between the former lovers, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, in his upcoming flick, though the film is a romantic one.

According to a source close to the film, “Considering the kind of close friendship Ayan shares with Ranbir, he’s aware of the relationship the actor shared with Deepika. At the same time, he was also well aware of their split when he offered his film to her. His story has a few intimate scenes between the lead pair.”

Initially, both Deepy and Rabir were quite okay doing the intimate scenes. “Keeping in mind that they’re thorough professionals, it would be natural to expect them to play their parts as actors.

However, that time the shooting had not started. Now that filming is underway, Ayan is having a change of mind,” says a source. The source later said that the director later didn’t want to retain the scene.

Though the ex lovers are now good friends, the comfort level between them is not the same.

Says the source, “Though they’re like friends, doing intimate scenes for the camera is a different thing altogether.

So if Ayan senses any awkwardness on part of either of them, especially Deepika, in the intimate scenes, then he’d rather do away with them. If that comfort level is not there to be seen on camera, then that could affect the overall chemistry they share in the film.”

Sonu Sood happy to play Don!

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood will be playing Dawood Ibrahim in Shootout At Wadala and is super excited about his role of a don.

“I am super excited to play Dawood Ibrahim. My homework is on. I am reading about him and doing research on him. I am all set to play the role,” Sonu told.

“Shootout At Wadala” is a film based on the 1982 shootout, therby killing criminal Manya Surve in the bargain.. The film is basically about all gangsters.

“It is a film based on gangsters. It’s about the rise of Dawood. It’s more of an action drama,” he said.

Sonu will join the crew next week.

“I will start the shooting from April 24. We will be shooting at locations like Nariman Point and Mahim (in Mumbai),” the 38-year-old said.

The film is directed by Sanjay Gupta and stars John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Manoj Bajpai, Ronit Roy and Mahesh Manjrekar.

Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Chikni Kamar’!

Katrina Kaif did a ‘Chikni Chameli’ and now, Sonakshi Sinha is all set to do a ‘Chikni Kamar’.

The song is from the film ‘Rowdy Rathore’, where Sonakshi plays the leading lady. It is on similar lines of that of Katrina Kaif’s item number Chikni Chameli. The actress is all set to gyrate to her first ever item number.

Sonakshi Sinha calls the track — “a complete masaledaar song”. Choreographer Vishnu will be directing the song, with a few inputs from ace choreographer Prabhu Deva.

The dance practice sessions have begun and the best part is that Sonakshi isn’t asked to shed weight, neither is she dieting. “Prabhu Deva and everyone else I’m working with like me the way I am..” says Sonakshi.

The song will also feature Akshay Kumar and will be soon shot in Hampi.
